As retailers and shoppers all over go crazy for ‘Black Friday’ deals, there is the small matter of the weekly round of new releases being unleashed. Like always, there is a handful of noteworthy releases to serve as your soundtrack as you search for the best deals.

Leading the list is Frank Turner and his career retrospective (or “Best Of”) collection – ‘Songbook’. While At The Drive In provide one of ‘Record Store Day: Black Friday’’s few highlights in the form of an EP titled ‘Diamante’.

Nevertheless, this week belongs to several up-and-coming UK names. Indie/emo band Lightcliffe deliver their delightful ‘For A While’ EP. Joining them in the downtrodden emo stakes is Kent’s Epona and their third EP – ‘Rewind For a Face’. Grungey shoegazers RAIN return with ‘Abstract Vision’. Hotly tipped Vegas-via-Toronto sibling trio Palaye Royale deliver ‘Boom Boom Room (Side A)’. Finally, Glasgow melodic rockers Divide leave their mark with ‘Embers’.
