US post-hardcore favourites Rival Schools have revealed they will be playing a short run of headline dates in May. The shows in the UK and Ireland will lead up to their slot supporting Hundred Reasons at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The five shows will see the quartet perform tracks from acclaimed albums, ‘United by Fate’ and ‘Pedals’. Both albums were re-released on vinyl last year via Run For Cover Records. The former, ‘United by Fate’, was released in 2001 and features memorable singles – ”Used for Glue’ and ‘Good Things’. ‘Pedals’ is the full-length follow-up to ‘United by Fate’, originally released in 2011 having reformed in 2008.
Reflecting on performing live, guitarist/vocalist Walter Schreifels shared “It’s great, when we were touring behind ‘United by Fate’, we were doing it professionally, trying to make it in some way, and there’s a lot of intensity in that. Now, we’re doing it because we really enjoy it and want to be with each other and get into it. So because of that chillness, we just have a lot of laughs. Our chemistry has been there for a long time.”
