saturdays at your place Preview New Album with ‘what am I supposed to do?’

With their new album, ‘these things happen’ set to be released next month, emo three-piece saturdays at your place have shared its second single. ‘what am I supposed to do?’ highlights the Michigan-based band’s introspective lyricism through a familiar midwestern tone.

Reflecting on individuality, people-pleasing, and the emotional toll it takes to keep your head above the water while on tour, it’s a delicate and contemplative offering.

“I needed somewhere to rant about my feelings while on tour,”  commented vocalist/drummer Gabe Wood on  ‘what am I supposed to do?’. “But through finishing this song, I’ve learned a lot more about myself than anything else. I’m still figuring out who I am, but I’ve realised I have to respect my own emotions as much as I do everyone else’s.”

The video for the track was directed by Tades Sanville of Hot Mulligan.

‘these things happen’ will be released on September 12th. Pre-order the album here.
