Recent Pure Noise Records signees, Slow Crush, have returned with a new single – ‘Cherry’. It sees the Anglo-Belgian group deliver an alluring slice of grunge and shoegaze with ethereal vocals from bassist Isa Holliday.

Before joining Pure Noise, the trio completed by guitarist Jelle Harde and drummer Frederik Meeuwis released two impressive records. Their debut, ‘Aurora’, arrived in 2018 before ‘Hush’ in 2021. Both albums were praised for Slow Crush‘s ability to create swelling soundscapes through hazy walls of sound.

With a new label home, it seems ‘Cherry’ is the first taste of an inevitable third album. For the members of Slow Crush, they somewhat agree that it’s a new beginning. “Wistful longing for something fresh and new, creating a stormy and effervescent anthology. Evoking an almost thematic cascade of noise that echoes the end and bursts into new life. ‘Cherry’ feels like the perfect first single. A new, fresh start. ‘Shed your skin’,” shared the band.
