The Portsmouth-based Takedown Festival continues to grow and today has announced more bands for its 2024 line-up. It sees the likes of mathcore group Pupil Slicer, nu-metal artist Deijuvhs, ambient rockers Blanket, and post-hardcore band Acres joining the bill. Harbinger, Calva Louise, The Hara, and Lastelle are the other additions.
In further news, the independent rock and metal festival has revealed the stage splits. Additionally, Sophie K and Yasmine Summan from the ‘On Wednesday We Wear Black’ podcast will be hosting on the main stage throughout the weekend.
“We are excited to unveil the day splits and announce a new wave of bands that will be joining the Takedown 2024 lineup, including the addition of On Wednesdays We Wear Black podcast as our main stage compares,” said Takedown Festival bookers Kai and Sarah Harris. “Our commitment to pushing the boundaries of the metal, alternative, and rock genres remains unwavering, and we are confident that we have crafted a distinctive lineup for this year’s event.”
Todays news follows last month’s second wave of bands which saw a wealth of acts announced including Total Rock stage headliners Kid Kapichi and Terrorvision. Whereas names such as Cassyette, Employed to Serve, Graphic Nature, BVDLVD, Lake Malice, Fort Hope, and Cauldron were among the other names recently announced.
