Ice Nine Kills Team Up with ‘Dead by Daylight’ on ‘Play Dead’

Timed to ‘Dead by Daylight’‘s 10th anniversary celebrations, Ice Nine Kills have released a new single ‘Play Dead’. The track was co-created with longtime ‘Dead by Daylight’ composer Michel F. April, and unveiled during the game’s anniversary live stream. An in-game Ice Nine Kills Collection DLC drops alongside it.

The video brings skateboard icon Tony Hawk, Devon Sawa (Idle Hands), and Krsy Fox (Terrifier 3) into the INKverse, with a second part still to come.

“As lifelong horror fans, we find it surreal and an absolute honour to have Ice Nine Kills’ music officially tied to Terrifier, Scream, Ready or Not, and now, the iconic survival horror game Dead by Daylight,” says vocalist Spencer Charnas. “Collaborating with Dead by Daylight gave us the chance to step into a world that feels deeply aligned with our creative instincts. The game has an incredible legacy, and that chaotic, eerie, immersive energy is something we respect and admire.”

Ice Nine Kills headline the O2 Arena, London on March 28th 2027.

I Prevail and Amira Elfeky Come Together on ‘Paradise’

I Prevail have teamed up with alt-goth singer Amira Elfeky on a new collaborative single, ‘Paradise’. The Michigan band described the track as something that came together quickly and naturally.

“We’ve been fans of Amira for a while. She has such a distinct sound and style. The opportunity to write together came up super organically and we instantly connected on this crazy concept for a song,” the band said. “We all saw the vision for it almost right away. That’s a rare and beautiful thing when it happens. We still don’t think we know exactly what we made. We never had to stop to think about it. We just made it.”

With the band’s muscular sound, use of glitchy electronics, haunting and cinematic keys alongside Amira Elfeky‘s versatile sound, it results in an impactful track. It also gives fans a taste of what to expect when I Prevail and Amira Elfeky tour the UK together in September, along with Polaris.

Bad Wolves Welcomes New Vocalist Killboy and Shares New Single

New vocalist Killboy, real name Sara Skinner, has made her debut with Bad Wolves via their new single, ‘Paint It Red’, out now on Better Noise Music.

“When we started looking for the next voice of Bad Wolves, we weren’t looking for someone to fill a spot; we were looking for someone who could help push this band into its next chapter,” shares founding member and drummer John Boecklin on the search was about more than filling a vacancy. “The first time I heard Sara sing, I knew she was different. She has an incredible voice, undeniable presence, and the kind of versatility that allows us to take our songwriting to places we’ve never gone before. Sara isn’t here to recreate the past — she’s here to help us build the future.”

As for ‘Paint It Red,’ it sees the hard rockers execute a polyrhythmic and rugged sound with soaring melodies, while maintaining their crushing heaviness.

Killboy framed the single as a statement of intent: “‘Paint It Red’ is about being unafraid to tear everything down and start over, again and again if that’s what it takes. To live authentically and follow your heart, you have to be willing to rebuild when something no longer serves who you are.”

The band discussed more about Killboy joining Bad Wolves with Revolver.

Waterparks Previews New Album with ‘Better Than Therapy’

‘Better Than Therapy’ is the latest single from Waterparks‘ forthcoming sixth studio album, ‘JINX’, previously detailed here. The record arrives July 24th via BMG.

Awsten Knight has been typically candid about the tongue-in-cheek track. “Here’s the thing, I actually haven’t been to therapy in a couple years and I think it’s catching up with me.” The track captures Waterparks‘ proven flair for infectious hooks and self-aware humour, with some emotional chaos thrown in. Lyrically, it explores the messy comfort of navigating life alongside someone who’s just as imperfect as you are.

Crown the Empire Return with New Single (‘raw’)

Los Angeles two-piece Crown the Empire are back with a new single, ‘raw’, via Rise Records.

Blending a hypnotic groove amid a moody atmosphere, it sees Andy Leo and Brandon Hoover deliver a sturdy return.

For the duo, they describe ‘raw’ as the opening move in their most ambitious chapter yet: “‘raw’ is the first step into the final form of Crown The Empire, taking everything we’ve learned from the emo alt rock space, and reinventing ourselves yet again in what’s our most ambitious project to date. We loved making this song, and we hope y’all enjoy it too.”
