Late last month we revealed details of the debut solo album from ex-Oceansize frontman and current Biffy Clyro touring guitarist Mike Vennart. With ‘The Demon Joke’ being released under the moniker of Vennart on 22nd June, Mike has shared the second track from the album.‘Operate’ is solid slice of indie rock pop with psychedelic twist. Here’s what Mike had to say about the track:
“‘Operate’ was the song that opened a lot of doors, creatively, on this record. It’s pretty much the best chorus I’ve ever written. It’s the kind of heavy pop song I’ve been threatening to write for years. It’s simple, but it’s still got a few weird tricks up its sleeve.”
