Citizen Previews New Album with ‘I Can See You From Here’
With roughly a month until the release of ‘Halcyon Blues,’ Citizen have shared another track from the record. ‘I Can See You From Here’ sees the Toledo, Ohio group deliver a stirring and anthemic number. Led by Mat Kerekes’ longing and emotive vocals and Ben Russin’s penetrative drums, it sees the quintet blend lush textures with an assured, alt-rock sound.
‘Halcyon Blues’ is set to be released on August 7th via Run For Cover Records.
As previously announced, Citizen will be touring the UK in October. Support comes from Modern Color and thistle.

Boston Manor Share ‘Drowned In Gold (Acoustic)’
Next month, Boston Manor will be releasing ‘Be Nothing. 10 Year Anniversary’. As previously announced, the reissue will include four acoustic tracks. The North West-based group have shared the second of these with ‘Drowned In Gold’.
Originally released as a standalone single after ‘Be Nothing.’‘s 2016 release, Boston Manor guitarist Mike Cunniff considers the track to be “the perfect transition from ‘Be Nothing.’ to ‘Welcome To The Neighbourhood'”. He adds that the track “allowed us to become more experimental with our music”.
Boston Manor will celebrate the 10th anniversary of ‘Be Nothing.’ with six sold-out shows in Manchester and London in December. All six shows will feature different support.

Hear the New Single from Infectious Pop-Punks Cinema Stare
Connecticut three-piece Cinema Stare have debuted a track called ‘James Pack’. It’s the latest track to be lifted from their upcoming ‘Stink’ EP, which is released on August 7th through Static Era Records.
Taking cues from Motion City Soundtrack, Fall Out Boy, and Michelle Branch, the track is a prime example of Cinema Stare‘s heartfelt and addictive brand of pop-punk.
New Kiss The Scientist Single Released (‘Life You Want’)
On their new single, ‘Life You Want,’ Los Angeles-based trio Kiss The Scientist navigate young adulthood. Described as a cross between Manchester Orchestra and Hot Mulligan, it results in a satisfying track that blurs the line between rock and Midwest emo.
“Feeling inspired by relationships and the weight of being a young adult, ‘Life You Want’, to me, is the idea of, ‘I can’t stop thinking about this person. I absolutely NEED this person. What am I gonna do to make sure I have them by my side forever?'” shares vocalist/guitarist Max Tomack-Villalobos. “Once we take the basic idea of the song into the studio, that’s where we really get to put our brains together to figure out how we convey the lyrical emotion into the instrumentation, and vice versa. Along with the minds of our producer Matt Wiggers, and our first ever experience with Kyle Black, I think that the inspiration and overall excitement and energy of getting to work on this song really shines through.”
For Kiss The Scientist, ‘Life You Want’ is the latest track in a productive year for the three-piece. In March, they released an EP titled ‘Better In My Head’, and followed it later that month with a single, ‘Just For Me’. Alongside ‘Life You Want,’ all three were released through Take This To Hear Records.
