Known as the frontman for Drug Church and Self Defense Family, Patrick Kindlon is also a podcaster and lifelong comic book fan. Over the past twelve months, both of his bands have released acclaimed records with Drug Church‘s latest record, ‘Cheer’, appearing in our own Record of the Year list.
Off the back of its success, Drug Church recently returned to the UK for an almost sold-out UK headline tour. While passing through Southampton, Kindlon sat down with Already Heard writer and Just an Insight Podcast host Tim Birkbeck to discuss his journey into alternative music.
During the interview, Patrick tells Tim how discovering bands such as War Zone and Sick of it All put him on the path of discovering hardcore. The pair also discuss how Patrick still gets excited to discover new music and also what an exciting year 2018 was for both of his bands.
