Last night (Wednesday November 12th) A Day To Remember kicked off their UK tour at Guildhall in Portsmouth. However the show ended just 30 minutes into their set after a man fell from the balcony.
According to local sources, the band instantly stopped playing with an announcement stating the gig was over being made shortly after.
Eyewitnesses state the young man, in his late teens or early 20s, fell from the balcony just after 10pm and was instantly treated by St John Ambulance. The local ambulance and police were reportedly swiftly on site to treat the young man.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire police said that the man had been taken to Southampton General Hospital with serious head injuries. She said that at 11.30pm police were still in the Guildhall.
A Day To Remember posted the following tweet late last night:
Our thoughts are w/ the person who was injured at the show tonight in Portsmouth. Sorry we had to cut the set short due to the circumstances
