As they prepare to release their seventh album, ‘Les Chants De L’Aurore’, French post-metal/shoegaze duo Alcest has shared a new track. It’s called ‘Flamme Jumelle’ and sees Neige and Winterhalter once again deliver another stunning number of cinematic proportions.

It’s accompanied by a beautiful video that features a captivating choreographed dance by Coralie Bénard and Alina Lugovskaya. As they wrap themselves around one another in front of stunning scenic landscapes, Alcest provides a soundtrack to match.

The track itself is described by Alcest founder Neige as “the most personal song of the album.”  “Flamme Jumelle”, which means “Twin Flame”, is about the idea of loss in general and the difficulty of coping with the absence of someone you deeply loved,” commented Neige. “It could be a family member, a friend, or a partner. On a more spiritual level, the title refers to the possibility that certain souls are connected in this life and beyond, and that separation is temporary and just a mortal concept.”

‘Les Chants de l’Aurore’ by Alcest is released on June 21st, 2o24, on Nuclear Blast.
