Under their former guise of ‘Life on Standby,’ Glasgow electro-rockers Banshee found limited success having played the Download Festival in 2014. However for one reason or another, the quartet failed to follow up on the momentum gained. Nevertheless they have now refresh their batteries with a new name and a new EP.
‘Say My Name’ sees a band reinvigorated with a set of vibrant songs that embrace electro synths alongside power riffs and Erin Donnachie’s versatile voice. Here’s how the band summed up the EP:
“Our sound on this EP is more electronically based, leaning towards the synth sounds of PVRIS or Bring Me The Horizon with the riffs of Biffy Clyro accompanied by raw female vocals – we would like to think this EP is something that you can move around to”.
’Say My Name’ EP by Banshee is released on March 25th.
