Last month Laurie Cottingham and Marty Ryan travelled throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland on a Already Heard sponsored UK tour. Whilst in Edinburgh, the duo respectively known as Brightr and Anna’s Anchor took some time out to record an “AH Session” each.
Following on from Laurie’s session, Marty decided to preview his forthcoming debut album with a song called ‘Conclusion.’
Marty had this to say about the track:
‘Conclusion’ is a new track that features on the Anna’s Anchor album which was recorded in January with Bob Cooper (Nai Harvest, Citizen). The track is the only acoustic song on the full length which will be released in Autumn this year. The album marks a shift for me, taking a much bigger, louder approach culminating back down to its roots with this final song on the album which is about my often misrepresented hometown of Limerick, Ireland.“
Anna’s Anchor’s debut album is expected to be released in the Autumn.
