Hailing from Newcastle, Alexander are an Indie Rock quartet who have just unleashed their debut album, ‘Say Hello.’
With influences ranging from Jimmy Eat World to Futures to Two Door Cinema Club, ‘Say Hello’ sees the four piece delivering a fresh, perfectly styled record with a pop edge.

Say Hello
‘Say Hello’ is about putting aside worries, promblems and anxieties. It’s about living in the moment and having a week of feeling better. As a band we try and be optimistic about problems so this song represents that every cloud has a silver lining.
Maybe I Was Wrong
‘Maybe I Was Wrong’ is based on a common mistake that many people make in relationships. People make promises to themselves not to be a certain way or do certain things but you don’t always realise how relationships can change you as a person. This song is about realising those changes and accepting them.
You Lost Yourself
‘You Lost Yourself’ is about being kept in the dark but holding on for an answer that you may never get, it’s like waiting in limbo. This song represents everything falling apart around you and negative thoughts taking over your outlook on life. The video we shot for this song is a performance video that focuses on what’s happening around us.
Find My Way Out
‘Find My Way Out’ is about finding yourself in a situation you don’t want to be in, it’s like a transition from losing yourself to realising you’ve been swallowed up into a situation you don’t want to be in and trying to fight your way out of it.
Sweet Song
‘Sweet Song’ is an acoustic interlude that isn’t necessarily about romantice it’s more about being attached to something and finding comfort in that.
Vapour Trails
‘Vapour Trails’ is about physically being close to someone but mentally feeling like you’re miles away from them. It’s like when you have short periods of happiness but overall you’re confused about a relationship.
Without A Parachute
‘Without A Parachute’ is about starting a fresh and the risks of follwing your dreams. While recording this album we went through a journey as a band and we had a ‘can do’ attitude rather than thinking about what we wanted. We didn’t want to feel negative anymore and we had something to look forward to, something to look back on and be proud of.
Old Fashioned Romance
This song portrays Alexander’s romantic side and his attachment to chivalry in his generation. This song is based around the idea of romance not being dead to everyone. ‘Old Fashioned Romance’ gives an insight to Alexander’s personality and how he feels about love.
