Video Premiere: Alcabean – Running

Later this month, Danish noise-rockers Alcabean will be returning with their second EP, ‘Head Down’. With its stylistic nod to 90’s alt-rock, the quartet showcase a tight-knit set of fuzz-driven, melancholic songs with a raw undertone.

Following on from being featured in last month’s “Recommends” roundup, we’re pleased to be premiering Alcabean’s new video for ‘Running’. Its a mix of post-punk bass line, anxious lyrics and swirling guitars makes the track one of the stand out moments on ‘Head Down’. While its accompanying visual captures the paranoid nature of the song.

“’Running’ is about anxiety and fear and how you just want to escape it when it comes,“ says Alcabean’s frontman Victor Schack; ” I feel like that sometimes, I think most people do. Reflecting on your fears can be insightful and useful, I know, but this song is really all about that instinctive urge to flee.”

‘Head Down’ EP by Alcabean is released on 16th March on We Are Suburban.
