Next week, Melbourne, Australia quartet Bukowski will be releasing their debut EP, ‘grow up. give up. let go.’ Over the course of five songs, they blur the lines between emo and pop-punk; one moment they’re showing their emotive, tender side, the next soaring ahead with an addictive chorus.

Today, we’re premiering the video for one of the EP’s standout moments; ‘Brood’. Like its title suggests, the track highlights Bukowski’s darker, slightly atmospheric side with a steady, intense build leading to vocalist/guitarist James Karagiozis proclaiming “this is not what you wanted, now you’re lost in this bottle”, as his alcohol-soaked emotions become the lingering focal point.

“Its a simple video, but the deeper underlying idea was to really connect with the lyrics, and show that most of these songs are about how I really feel about myself,” explained Karagiozis when we asked how the video and track connect.

‘grow up. give up. let go.’ EP by Bukowski is released on 15th June on Penultimate Records.
