Powerpop specialists Charly Bliss are gearing up for the release of their new album, ‘Forever’, next month. Today, the quartet have shared a third track from the record – ‘Waiting For You’.
Its timely summer release sees Charly Bliss deliver a bouncy slice of indie-pop. The combination of Eva Hendrick’s bubblegum vocals with woozy guitars makes for a fun track.
Speaking on the track, Hendrick says it’s “a love song for my bandmates,” having relocated to Australia to be with her partner during the pandemic. She adds, “I remember watching videos of us playing shows and thinking “How could I have taken this for granted?” I couldn’t see how beautiful everything really was and how lucky we were. It was agonizing to be apart for that long but helpful, because I don’t think I’ll ever let myself forget that again.”
‘Forever’ by Charly Bliss is released on August 16th on Lucky Number.
