City and Colour, also known as Alexisonfire‘s Dallas Green, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut solo album, ‘Sometimes’, with a one-off London show. Set to take place at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 18th, Green will intimately perform the album in full, followed by a career-spanning set. It’ll also be a European-exclusive date for City and Colour.
‘Sometimes’ was originally released in November 2005 through the Canadian label Dine Alone Records. It went on to win Alternative Album of the Year at the 2007 Juno Music Awards. Since then, Green has gone on to release six studio albums. The latest being 2023’s ‘The Love Still Held Me Near’.
Reflecting on ‘Sometimes’ and its release 20 years ago, Green shares, “I could never have imagined the journey it would take me on, but more importantly, how deeply the songs would resonate with so many people. This night is a celebration of that connection and for everyone who has spent time with this record over the years. These songs became yours a long time ago. As always, thank you for listening.”
Green will follow up the Royal Albert Hall show with a headline spot at 2000trees in July as part of Alexisonfire.
