A new Cambridge-based label called Crooked Noise Records has been launched. It has also introduced its first wave of signings.

Its roster includes Gloucester punks Black Art, Merseyside rockers FOES, Banbury metallers I Cried Wolf and Bedfordshire ambient group V/Vega.

The label will be releasing a free download compilation EP on 26th May 2015 featuring a track from each of the artists. For now you can hear the new single from FOES, ‘Rival Thrones’, below.

Label founder Tom Newman shared the following comment:

“Crooked Noise Records was created out of a passion for truly independent music and helping to build sustainable careers for artists who aren’t afraid to put in the graft. Our first wave of bands is so diverse yet, to me, makes complete sense as we all share the same common set of values and goals. All four bands have killer releases dropping in 2015, so keep ‘em peeled!”
