Boston-based melodic hardcore band Defeater have announced a short run of UK headline dates as part of a Europen tour. In addition to playing Download and 2000 Trees, the quintet will play shows in Bristol, Birmingham and Edinburgh.July

The shows will be some of the bands first since Frontman Derek Archambault recovered from a hip replacement last year. He had this to say about the tour and joining their new label – Epitaph:
“After a year away from touring and nearly two of immobility, I have never been happier to push forward with Defeater. Releasing a new album with a label I have bought records from for more than 20 years still doesn’t feel real. Like many of my peers, Epitaph’s 90’s roster was a big part of the soundtrack to my teenage years. Signing to Epitaph and a full European tour this summer has the makings of a banner year for Defeater.”
