On October 11th, Brighton-based indie/math-rockers Delta Sleep will return with their fifth album. Titled ‘Blue Garden’, it will be released through Sofa Boy Records and Wax Bodega (US). With an expansive back catalogue, the 12-track collection promises to be “their heaviest record to date”.
Recorded in Belgium in late 2023, Mark Roberts (Black Peaks, Toska, The Physics House Band), the quartet wrote and recorded the album in the space of two and a half weeks. As its ominous artwork suggests, ‘Blue Garden’ sees Delta Sleep explore moments of darkness and lightness, interlaced with ambience and complex tempos, inspired by their punk, indie and electronic influences.
The announcement is accompanied by a new track called ‘Figure In The Dark’, and comes as Delta Sleep prepare to appear at next weekend’s ArcTanGent Festival.
They’re also scheduled to play a co-headline UK headline tour with And So I Watch You From Afar in December.
