Download Festival Preview: American Fangs

As the road to the Download Festival becomes shorter by the day, we will be speaking to a whole host of acts from this years festival about what to expect from them at Download 2015.

Texan outfit American Fangs will arrive at Download will work on their sophomore full-length ‘Dirty Legs’ all done and dusted and ready for release on July 4th (Best Before Records).

The rising alternative/post-hardcore quintet are sure to deliver an energetic performance when they play on the fourth stage alongside A, The One Hundred, Allusondrugs and Blood Youth on the opening day of the festival. To give you an insight into what we can expect from American Fangs, we spoke to drummer Micah Miller.

AH: Why should fans check you out at Download?
Micah: Anyone looking for a mid-day “pick me up” should dip on over to the 4th stage and bounce with us. We’ve had some time off, but we’re warming up the engine in the rehearsal room so by the time we hit the stage at Download we’re going full throttle!!! We aim to please!

AH: What can we expect from your set?
Micah: High energy. Lots of sweat. Pits. Stage dives. 110% of what we’ve got. We gonna go HAM for our fine English friends!

AH: What other bands are you looking forward to seeing?
Micah: Slipknot! Beartooth, Black Stone Cherry.

AH: What are your memories of previous Download Festivals?
Micah: We’re Download virgins, so we’ve only got images we’ve been daydreaming of fueling our excitement. Well, and YouTube vids of past years live performances.

AH: What advice would you give to people attending Download Festival?
Micah: Rest up cuz we aren’t the only band who’s coming for ya 110%!

AH: Do you have anything else you’d like to say?
Micah: Come turn up wit cha boyz from Houston, Texas!! Let’s get it in!!

American Fangs will be appearing on Jake’s Stage at 5:10pm.

‘Dirty Legs’ by American Fangs is released on July 4th on Best Before Records.
