Download Festival Preview: EofE

As the road to the Download Festival becomes shorter by the day, we will be speaking to a whole host of acts from this years festival about what to expect from them at Download 2015.

EofE’s appearence on Jake’s Stage tomorrow afternoon is the latest milstone for the Black Country band. Having recently played the Camden Rocks Festival and received plenty of praise for their recent singles ‘Wake Up’, ‘Stars In Hollywood’ and ‘Bridges’, the five-piece have become ones to watch in recent months. With their brand of bold melodic alt-rock, EofE have the potential to impress many at Download.

To get their thoughts on playing Download, we spoke to lead guitarist Dan Bremner.

AH: Why should fans check you out at Download?
Dan: They should check us out because it’s our first time playing Download. And we have new songs from our album that no one has heard yet, we’re gonna play a crazily energetic set, and as we are on first on Friday why not start the whole festival and weekend off with us – its going to be an amazing weekend!

AH: What can we expect from your set?
Dan: Raw, live, and lots of energy. We’ll be going out all guns blazing from start to finish. We have some great tracks to get you rocking and in the festival mood; trust me its well worth coming to see us.

AH: What other bands are you looking forward to seeing?
Dan: We have loads of bands we wanna see, it’s gonna be hard fitting them all in but we definitely want to try and catch the likes of Slipknot, Muse, Kiss, Motley Crüe, Slash, Mallory Knox, Fightstar, Five Finger Death Punch and many more. Plus we’ll be doing our best to check out as many news bands as we can.

AH: What are your memories of previous Download Festivals?
Dan: I’ve been going for 5 years now and every time its been awesome – so many great bands, and always a great atmosphere. If I had to pick one It would be seeing Slipknot in 2013, it was such an incredible show and it was insane, so to now be part of Download itself is incredible.

AH: What advice would you give to people attending Download Festival?
Dan: Take clean pants and socks, try to stay as dry as possible, definitely take wellies, wether you need them or not take them just in case! And stay off your iPhone, #batteryissues

AH: Do you have anything else you’d like to say?
