As the road to the Download Festival becomes shorter by the day, we will be speaking to a whole host of acts from this years festival about what to expect from them at Download 2015.
Whilst Download is packed with big, familair names, it also has it fair share of unknown, emerging talent. One of them being Teesside scuzzy rock crew Sirens In The Delta. With an appearance on Jake’s Stage on the final day of Download, the quintet have the difficult task of waking up hungover and/or tired festival-goers as they’re on at 11am.
Nevertheless with their debut EP, ‘Revolutions To Follow’ set to be released soon, you can expect the five-piece to leave an impression with their brand of melodic hard rock.
To find out what we can expect from Sirens In The Delta, we spoke to vocalist Katie to find out.
AH: Why should fans check you out at Download?
Katie: We are so excited to be playing Download this year, so we can promise a smack in the face performance! We will be putting everything we have into this so it’ll be belting! Rich also said he might crowd surf…naked! Don’t let that put you off!
AH: What can we expect from your set?
Katie:
It will be loud…very loud, and very lively. Things might get broken too, like instruments or body parts. Who knows.
AH: What other bands are you looking forward to seeing?
Katie: There is loads of amazing bands on this year. We’re particularly looking forward to L7, Faith No More, Crobot, Corrosion of Conformit, and God Damn.
AH: What are your memories of previous Download Festivals?
Katie: All my memories of previous Downloads are pretty hazy! 2011 was a class year, we spent a lot of time following people in fancy dress, such as Kiss and Jesus!
AH: What advice would you give to people attending Download Festival?
Katie: My advice is just bloody enjoy yourself and make the most of every second, we will be! Oh, and try and keep as clean as possible, some people really do smell like rotting flesh by the Sunday, and when you’re squished in a crowd, while hungover…it is not on.
AH: Do you have anything else you’d like to say?
Katie: We are playing early doors on the Sunday, please drag your hung-over heads to see us, we promise it’ll be worthwhile! Also, our EP will be out after Download, ‘Revolutions to Follow’, so buy that!!
Sirens In The Delta will be appearing on Jake’s stage at 11:00am on Sunday June 14th.
