Fever 333 have continued their run of impressionable singles with their latest track – ‘Higher Power’. While last months single, ‘New West Order’, honed in on the quartet’s West Coast hip-hop influence, ‘Higher Power’ reaffirms Fever 333‘s heavy sound. Executed with urgency, it’s a bombastic and chaotic offering from Jason Aalon Butler and company.

Described as “a rally cry to the contributions of Black, Brown, and Asian people” in the United States of America, its chorus is injected by a message of empowerment and unity.

“There are no diamonds to be produced without pressure,” says the ever-charismatic frontman, Butler on the new song. “No lessons to learn without trials. ‘Higher Power’ revolves around these ideas and reveres the beauty in the adversity-induced magic performed by marginalized communities. To exist in a world that challenges your very existence every day to some degree is one of the most magical acts I have ever witnessed. Here is my 2:43 soundtrack offering to that act.”

‘Higher Power’ is the fourth track Fever 333 has released in 2024. It follows ‘New West Order’, ‘Ready Rock’, and ‘Losing My Grip’.

As previously announced, Fever 333 will be back in the UK later this year, as they wind up their ‘Welcome to Tha Function’ tour.

‘Higher Power’ Lyrics

To all my people, my beautiful black skin people
If we are born equal, how can someone be illegal?
Black, Brown, Asian, don’t forget who built this nation
They done broke the foundation, but won’t pay for the reparations

Higher power
We got that higher power
We are that higher power
And we gonna give it, give it
Gonna give it to them

Higher power
We got that higher power
We are that higher power
And we gonna give it, give it
Gonna give it to them

The transfixion on all trans fiction
Such a poor depiction of all these gorgeous people
Don’t get it twisted yeah, I’m gonna be explicit
Sexuality is liquid so fluidity is seeping in

Higher power
We got that higher power
We are that higher power
And we gonna give it, give it
Gonna give it to them
Higher power
We got that higher power
We are that higher power
And we gonna give it, give it
Gonna give it to them

To all my people, my beautiful black skin people
If we are born equal, how can someone be illegal?

Higher power
We got that higher power
We are that higher power
And we gonna give it, give it
Gonna give it to them
Higher power
We got that higher power
We are that higher power
And we gonna give it, give it
Gonna give it to them

Higher power
We got that higher power
