Foo Fighters Play Surprise Glastonbury 2023 Set

After much speculation, the band billed as ‘The ChurnUps’ on the Glastonbury Festival 2023 line-up has been revealed to be Foo Fighters.

The six-piece rockers last played the festival in 2017 when they headlined the event. While this evening (Friday, June 23rd) set marks 25 years since Foo Fighters first played on the Pyramid Stage. They performed on the main stage at Glastonbury Festival 1998.

The band had been heavily rumoured to be a surprise act, so it’s no wonder that the Foos pulled in a massive crowd.

At the end of their set, frontman Dave Grohl confirmed the band would be playing UK shows next summer.

UPDATE: On Saturday (June 24th), Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl made two surprise appearances at Glastonbury.

He first joined Anglo-American rockers the Pretenders to play the drums on ‘Tattooed Love Boys’The Smiths‘ Johnny Marr also joined the band during their evening set.

Later, as Pyramid Stage headliners Guns N’ Roses closed their lengthy set, Grohl joined the legendary rockers on guitar for ‘Paradise City’.
