Hear Foo Fighters’ Latest ‘Your Favorite Toy’ Preview with ‘Of All People’

With their 12th album just a fortnight away, Foo Fighters have shared another cut from ‘Your Favorite Toy’ – and it’s one of the more startling things they’ve put out in years. ‘Of All People’ is a short, sharp Husker Du-esque rager, all raw edges and immediate impact, a world away from the arena-sized scope the band typically trade in.

The track had its live debut at St James Church in Dingle, Ireland, in February in front of around 80 people – before its wider release today.

‘Your Favorite Toy’ arrives on 24th April via Roswell Records/Columbia Records, co-produced by the band and Oliver Roman, and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent. The full album announcement is here.

Thirty Seconds to Mars Announce ‘A Beautiful Lie vs This Is War’ 2027 UK Dates

Thirty Seconds to Mars have announced a 2027 UK and European tour that will see Jared and Shannon Leto joined on stage by former band member Tomo Miličević – a reunion that’s been a long time coming for many fans.

Billed as the ‘A Beautiful Lie vs This Is War’ tour, the run will see the band perform both albums in full across one night. ‘A Beautiful Lie’ (2005) brought the band global reach on the back of anthems like ‘The Kill’ and ‘From Yesterday’, while 2009’s ‘This Is War’ expanded that footprint further still with ‘Kings and Queens’ and ‘Closer to the Edge’. Two decades on from both records, and with Miličević back in the fold, this looks set to be a significant night for anyone who was there the first time.

The UK leg lands at two venues in April 2027. General on-sale begins on Friday 17th April at 10am local time at thirtysecondstomars.com.

The Amity Affliction Share Final ‘House of Cards’ Preview with ‘Heaven Sent’

With just two weeks until the release of ‘House of Cards,’ The Amity Affliction have shared its final pre-release single, ‘Heaven Sent’.

Where those earlier singles established the intensity that defines the ‘House of Cards’ era, ‘Heaven Sent’ turns the focus inward, pulling from a deeply personal place in vocalist Joel Birch’s history.

“This is one of the darker songs on the album,” Birch explains. “The first line references one of a handful of memories I have from when I was really young and my stepfather still smoked. He put his cigarette out on my arm at a party and then played it off as an accident, my mother was busy getting drunk and brushed it off and told me to keep it moving, basically. The rest of the song is a snapshot of my home life in some ways and the way the abuse was cyclical in nature and always prefaced by or followed by ‘I love you’ which obviously creates some strange and unhealthy ways for a young person to understand their relationship to a parent.”

Marmozets Go Maximalist on New Single ‘Cut Back’

Yorkshire four-piece Marmozets have unveiled ‘Cut Back’, the latest preview of their forthcoming album ‘CO.WAR.DICE.’, due 22nd May. It’s a frenetic contender for their most immediate track to date – every element hitting hard, from the central riff to the adrenaline-fuelled rhythm, with Becca Bottomley’s vocal sitting equal parts caustic and cool at the centre of it all.

‘Cut Back’ joins a run of singles – ‘A Kiss From A Mother’, ‘You Want The Truth’, ‘New York’, and Running With The Sun In Your Eyes’ – in setting up what looks like a bold second era for a band whose debut records, ‘The Weird and Wonderful Marmozets’ (2014) and ‘Knowing What You Know Now’ (2018), remain touchstones of British rock.

The band will mark the release of ‘CO.WAR.DICE.’, with a record store tour in May followed by headline shows in June. They’ll also appear at Finsbury Park alongside Biffy Clyro on 13th June and at 2000Trees on 11th July.

South Arcade Share New Single ‘SUPERMAN’

Fresh off playing arenas supporting Five Seconds of Summer, South Arcade continue to ride a wave of momentum. Not only are they set to play a headline show at O2 Academy Brixton on 25th February 2027, they’ve also dropped a new single called ‘Superman’.

For a band whose reputation rests on crafting big, anthemic guitar music, the track takes an interesting structural approach – switching between a relaxed verse and something altogether more explosive once the energy tips over.

“SUPERMAN is about being pushed past breaking point. All patience has tapped out and you put the song on as your rage anthem,” the band explain. “We found it funny how the verses are so chill then it just suddenly goes crazy, which kind of summed up the feelings we wanted. When you’re sick of being the one who always holds it together and something has pushed you over the edge.”

Besides their show at O2 Academy Brixton, South Arcade will be appearing at Download Festival and TRNSMT Festival this summer.

‘A’ Share Emotional New Single ‘Shit Summer’

British alt-rock veterans ‘A’ have shared their third single ahead of ‘PRANG’, their first album in over 20 years, due 22nd May via Cooking Vinyl. It’s called ‘Shit Summer’, and it marks a sharp tonal shift from the effervescent lead singles ‘Hello Sunshine’ and ‘Walkover’ – trading the band’s usual punch for something far more exposed.

Formed in Suffolk in 1993, ‘A’ last released a studio album in 2005 with ‘Teen Dance Ordinance’. Vocalist Jason Perry has spoken openly about the emotional weight of making ‘PRANG’, and ‘Shit Summer’ is the most direct expression of that yet.

“‘Shit Summer’ is the song from the album that I’m most proud of. I think it’s the best thing we’ve ever made. Ever,” Perry explains. “A heartbreaking reminder of a very difficult time for me. I had tears in my eyes singing this song. Reflecting on a rough period in my life. I’m blessed with so much. My kids, loved ones and music, but in those months it was hard to see the woods from the trees. I got help. I needed help. We all need a little help sometimes. Some hugs and honesty and love. Manning up doesn’t quite cut it when you’re down and out. This song is dedicated to anyone who’s going through it .. x”

The band will celebrate the album with an in-store tour in May. They will then appear at Slam Dunk Festival and 2000Trees, before touring with The Darkness in December.

Dead Pony Announce ‘Eat My Dust!’ EP & Share ‘Freak Like Me’

Glasgow four-piece Dead Pony have announced their new EP, ‘Eat My Dust!’. It’ll arrive on May 15th via ADA. As a preview, they’ve shared its second single, ‘Freak Like Me’. The EP is their first body of work since their 2024 debut album ‘Ignore This’, and sees Anna Shields (vocals), Blair Crichton (guitar/producer), Liam Adams (bass), and Euan Lyons (drums) draw from early 2000s influences. While pushing their sound into bolder territory, its six tracks are less a nostalgic exercise and more a reconfiguration of that energy into something of their own.

‘Freak Like Me’ is exactly that in miniature – a celebration of people who’ve stopped trying to fit in. Inspired by the atmosphere of Glasgow’s The Priory bar, where the band played some of their earliest gigs, the track blends crunching guitars with an infectious hook.

“Freak Like Me is a love letter to the outsiders in society – the ones who never quite fit the mould and stopped trying to,” Shields explains. “It’s about owning every bizarre, messy, sexy, beautiful part of who you are, and finding your people in that chaos. I was really inspired by the energy of The Priory bar, sweaty, loud, full of young musicians and misfits just being unapologetically themselves. There was this unspoken understanding that no one had to pretend. That’s the spirit I wanted to bottle in this track – a space where being a ‘freak’ isn’t just accepted; it’s celebrated.”

Shields and Crichton also commented on the EP as a whole: “We’re stepping into a whole new era of Dead Pony – one that feels bigger, bolder, and more unapologetically us than anything we’ve ever done before. We’ve pulled heavily from our early 2000s influences, but this isn’t about looking back – it’s about reshaping that nostalgia into something that feels fresh, unpredictable, and completely our own.”
