After a four year career and a few solid EPs, including Already Heard’s number five EP of 2013 ‘Camera Lucida’, Oxford alt rockers Gunning for Tamar have announced they are to part ways as a band.
They announced their split via the following post on their facebook page last night.
“Today we are announcing the end of Gunning For Tamar. This is undoubtedly the biggest decision we have ever had to make as a band and one that we make with very mixed emotions. Nevertheless, this is the right decision for all of us.
We have countless people to thank for so many reasons and we’d like to think that you already know who you are. Failing that, if you’ve done any of these things, you’re awesome and we love you.
Danced awkwardly at the front of our shows.
Bought or illegally downloaded any of our music.
Let us stay on your floor, sofas and sometimes your beds.
Booked us to play your sweaty little venue.
Written kind words about us in your blogs or magazines.
Travelled silly distances to see us play.
Patiently waited for that ‘good take’
Taken pictures of us fully clothed or otherwise.
You’ve been amazing.
Thanks again for everything, you bunch of sluts x”
