With various singles and EPs to their name, Manchester’s Hot Milk are preparing to release their debut full-length, ‘A Call To The Void’ on August 25th through Music For Nations. To give fans another taste of what’s to come, the duo have dropped its third single – ‘BLOODSTREAM’.

Embracing alt-pop production with a bold melodic rock sound, ‘BLOODSTREAM’ is an infectious track.

On writing the song, lead singer Han Mee explained it was “in its entirety in the haunted early hours in Los Angeles.” She goes on to explain how the early morning creative spark was an infrequent juncture for Hot Milk.

“We started it in the early hours just as it was home time, immediately we knew that this song was something different for us yet had come from nowhere. One of them rare moments where the song jumped from the ether and wanted, nay needed to be written.”

Beyond its vibrant sound, lyrically BLOODSTREAM’ explores feelings of unhealthy adoration, short-term thrills, and how it can lead to an abusive relationship. “You think it’s love, you think you’re in control, you think you can say no if you needed to but you’re not the one in the driving seat anymore,” states Mee.
