Even though it’s two months until ‘Outrun You All’ is released, House of Protection have teased their second EP by sharing a new track called ‘Fire’.
Fuelled by a punk spirit, ‘Fire’ flourishes with its thrash guitars and distorted vocals. House of Protection‘s Aric Improta and Stephen Harrison’s aim with the track was to deliver “as much infectious energy as possible”, and it’s safe to say they’ve done just that. Ultimately, it sees the duo serve up a frenzied musical cocktail that includes siren sound effects, hip-hop beats, and cheerleader vocals.
“’Fire’ is a song that could invoke as much dancing as it does moshing,” said House of Protection. “It’s a hard balance to pull off. This has been the one new song we’ve played on tour before its release and it’s already become our favorite to jam live.”
2025 is shaping up to be a busy year for Improta and Harrison. Besides the release of ‘Outrun You All’ on May 23rd (Red Bull Records), they’ll be joining Poppy on her US tour next month. They’ll follow it up with a summer of festival appearances. Among them will be spots at Download in June and then Reading and Leeds in August.
That won’t be the only time we’ll see House of Protection on these shores. They’ll be supporting Architects as part of their UK/European tour later this year alongside Wage War.
