Richmond VA, pop-punk quartet Battleghost are the latest bright, young hopes for the popular genre. The bands latest EP, ‘Don’t Be A Hero’ hits right of the pop-punk core with its vibrant, youthful sound that echoes the likes of New Found Glory and The Story So Far.
As we find out Battleghost are pop-punk through and through as they told us about their admiration for Blink-182 and Warped Tour, yet we also found they have a softer, sincere side as they answered our “If I…” questionnaire.

If I could re-record one song it would be…
Battleghost: We’re pretty happy with the way our recordings have come out, but re-doing ‘Three Times a Doozy’ from our last record would be cool. Just add a few things to spice it up.
If I could re-live one tour/show it would be…
Battleghost: We would love to relive our tour this past Winter with Count To Four. Those dudes were really fun to be around and every night was a blast.
If I had the chance to play one venue it would be…
Battleghost: I’ve always wanted to play Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA. It seems like a rad place. Or Madison Square Garden on a larger scale.
If I could play with one band it would be…
Battleghost: Of course, we’d love to share a stage with our biggest inspiration, Blink-182 but it’d have to be a toss up between them and New Found Glory.
If I could play with any person living or dead it would be…
Battleghost: Dallas Green.
If I could bring back any band that have split up, it would be…
Battleghost: Crucial Dudes.
If I wasn’t playing music, I would be…
Battleghost: Hating whatever 9-5 normal job I had.
If I could play a different genre it would be…
Battleghost: Acoustic / Folk
If I could have written any song it would be…
Battleghost: ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley.
If I could have written any album it would be…
Battleghost: ‘Dude Ranch’ by Blink-182
If I could headline any festival, it would be…
Battleghost: Of course, we’d love to play Warped Tour.
If I could organise my own festival, the bands playing would be…
Battleghost: Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, The Story So Far, New Found Glory, Saves The Day.
If I could play any other instrument, it would be…
Battleghost: Bagpipes.
If I could give one piece of advice to a new band, it would be…
Battleghost: I would tell a new band to take the time and commit the money to get decent recordings, so that people will actually be able to stand to listen to your songs how you want them to be heard. Then play a lot of shows to prove you can back up the end product at your live shows!
