Last summer, UK metallic hardcore group Ithaca released their second album, ‘They Fear Us’, to wide acclaim. To celebrate the record, they’ve announced a one-off show at The Dome in London on November 25th.
Dubbed ‘A Very Special Evening With Ithaca’, the show promises to be a theatrical and spectacular performance of the album in full. It will see the quintet be joined by several special guests including Susie Wedderburn (brass), Hannah Ashman (woodwind, keyboards), Calum Muir (keyboards), and Yansé Cooper (guest vocals).
“This will be a truly unique show in the life of this band”
Upon announcing the show, Ithaca commented:
“We can’t tell you how much it means to be able to bring the full aesthetic and sonic vision of this album to life. This won’t just be ‘They Fear Us’ from start to finish, but ‘They Fear Us’ as it’s meant to be. This will be a truly unique show in the life of this band, do not miss it.”
With its melting pot of sounds and influences, ‘They Fear Us’ was one of the best records to emerge from the UK shores in 2022. From its volcanic title track, lyrical catharsis, Djamila Boden Azzouz’s venomous vocals, and clear aesthetic, Ithaca‘s second album is (and was) a triumphant celebration of how far they’ve come.
In short, ‘A Very Special Evening with Ithaca’ isn’t one to miss.
Tickets for ‘A Very Special Evening With Ithaca’ go on sale at 9am on Friday May 12th, and can be purchased here.
