Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has had an appeal for bail denied by Cardiff Crown Court.

Watkins is said to have appeared via video link from Parc Prison in Bridgend yesterday (January 10th) where his application for bail was refused with a further plea hearing taking place later this month.

Last month the singer faced six charges relating to sexual offences against children, including a charge of attempting to rape a one-year-old and the possession and distribution of indecent images of youngsters. The conspiracy offences were alleged to have taken place between May 1st and December 17th, when Watkins was arrested. The pornography charges relate to a period between August 12th and December 17th.
