Today Lostprophets vocalist Ian Watkins has released a statement following news that his case was adjourned until May for further investigation and sentencing.

The statement sees Watkins thanking his fans, family and friends and he is determined to clear his name.

The statement read:

“Mr Watkins furiously denies all of the charges and allegations made. He intends to fight to the bitter end to clear his name. He wishes to thank the fans, family and friends for the constant love and support they have given and continue to give throughout this testing time.”

Watkins was arrested last December and faces six charges relating to sexual offences against children, including a charge of attempting to rape a one-year-old and the possession and distribution of indecent images of youngsters. The conspiracy offences were alleged to have taken place between May 1st and December 17th, when Watkins was arrested. The pornography charges relate to a period between August 12th and December 17th.
