With just over a month until Reading and Leeds Festival, we were all set to see Mastodon headline ‘The Pit’ stage. However due to a “personal family matter”, that will no longer happen. Simply put – the Atlanta, Georgia metal band have cancelled all shows from August to early September, including their scheduled appearance at Reading and Leeds.
The following press release was issued:
“Mastodon regretfully announce they must cancel their upcoming shows that were to take place from August 7th through September 3rd due to a personal family matter. Mastodon will return to the road in Latin America in Late September. The September 5th show in Iceland has been rescheduled for December 5th. Please see below for all canceled dates.”
As a result of Mastodon’s cancellation, Ghost will now take their spot as headliners.
