The nominations for the Brit Awards 2013 have been announced with Muse, Alt-J, Mumford & Sons and Fun. being just some of the acts to receive nominations.

Muse, Alt-J and Mumford & Sons are nominated for Best British Group alongside The XX and One Direction, whilst Muse and Mumford & Sons have also been nominated for Best Live Act along with Coldplay, The Vaccines and legendary rockers The Rolling Stones.

Mercury Award winners Alt-J received three nominations overall having also been nominated for Best British Album and British Breakthrough.

Whilst Fun. cap off a remarkable year by receiving a nomination for Best International Group and face competition from The Black Keys, The Killers, The Script, and Alabama Shakes.

The Brit Awards take place on February 20 at London’s O2 Arena. Muse, One Direction, Robbie Williams, Emeli Sande, Mumford & Sons and Ben Howard will be performing at the event.
