New Forest rockers Natives have cancelled their February UK headline tour. The quintet have been working on the follow up to last years ‘Indoor War’ LP and were aiming to debut new material next month. However they have stated they “won’t be ready to play the songs” and did not want to give fans the same set as previous tours.
Refunds are available and the band will be rewarding fans with a “small gift’ soon.
A full statement from the band can be viewed below.
"We are sorry to announce the cancellation of our February headline tour. Originally we booked these shows to introduce you to our new album and kick off the next chapter for the band however recording is taking longer than we originally estimated. We want to take our time and get everything absolutely perfect and unfortunately that means we simply won’t be ready to play the songs next month. We discussed this at length and decided that it wasn’t fair for you guys to spend your time and money watching us play the exact same set from previous tours. We never want our fans to feel ripped off and in this situation we decided it was fairer to cancel the shows and have the tickets refunded.
We hate cancelling shows and we didn’t take this decision lightly but we feel that when you guys pay money to watch us perform live you deserve nothing less than the absolute best show we can deliver and this simply would not be possible were we to keep the original dates.
We’re working on a small gift for all of you who bought tickets and they’ll be news on that soon. In the meantime please contact your ticket vendor for a full refund.
We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on for the past few months.
