While many are spending their weekend either at the 2000trees Festival, in Manchester for Bring Me The Horizon‘s ‘Count Your Blessings’ 20th anniversary shows, in London for My Chemical Romance‘s Wembley Stadium shows, or celebrating 50 years of Iron Maiden at Knebworth, there’s the small matter of #NewMusicFriday.
Today sees two of the aforementioned bands release new music. ‘Count Your Blessings – Repented’ sees Bring Me The Horizon re-record their debut album. While My Chemical Romance give their fourth album, ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys,’ the deluxe edition treatment.
When it comes to proper new music, the iconic Rolling Stones release their 25th studio album, ‘Foreign Tongues’. Meanwhile, The Xcerts return to form with ‘i think i want to go home now.’ Rooted in their scrappy and raw origins, album number six sees the Brighton-based trio deliver another cathartic set of songs.
Elsewhere, The Plot In You brings together their ‘Volume’s EP series into one collection, along with new music from Jack White, No Cure, DevilDriver, Show Me The Body, Daydream Plus, and more.
