After 16 years away, Oasis will be reuniting in 2025.

The news of Liam and Noel Gallagher coming back together has been rumoured for a while. They escalated over the weekend after both Liam’s and Noel’s, along with Oasis‘, social media accounts hinted at an announcement at 8am today (August 27th).

The announcement is that Oasis will be playing a series of stadium shows in the UK and Ireland. The shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next summer will mark the domestic leg of their OASIS LIVE 25 world tour.

In a short statement, the band said:

“The guns have fallen silent.
The stars have aligned.
The great wait is over.
Come see.
It will not be televised.”

This major announcement comes days ahead of the release of the 30th-anniversary edition of Oasis’ defining debut album – ‘Definitely Maybe’. The equally iconic follow-up, ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’, will be celebrating its 30th anniversary next year. However, no details of a new release have yet to be announced.

Having become one of Britain’s biggest bands to emerge in 1990’s, the Gallagher brothers’ rocky relationship came to ahead in 2009 leading to Oasis coming to an end after seven albums.
