Although Origami Angel has spent a considerable amount of time touring this year, the Washington, D.C. duo has managed to find time to record new music. Today, they’ve shared an unreleased track called ‘Back To Life’.

The synth-infused track has been recorded for Counter Intuitive Records‘ ‘Cosmic Debris Vol. 2′. The compilation coincides with the label’s 10th anniversary. The mix of synth and the “Gami Gang”s melodic emo sound is as favourable as ever. It finds vocalist/guitarist Ryland Heagy and drummer Pat Doherty in a reinvigorated mood, celebrating simple acts of trying as small victories.

The release of ‘Back To Life’ comes as Origami Angel prepares to kick off a US tour supporting The Story So Far, alongside Neck Deep, and Pain of Truth later this month.

It also coincides with the 1st anniversary of their latest album, ‘Feeling Not Found’. Upon its release, we praised the album as the band’s “sharpest effort to date” with its thought-provoking songwriting and assured musical versatility.

‘Cosmic Debris Vol. 2’ is released on November 5th. Fans can pre-order the compilation here.
