As they prepare to release the third volume of their ‘Burst and Decay’ series on May 9th, The Wonder Years have shared a reworked version of ‘I Don’t Like Who I Was Then’. It sees guest vocals from Ryland Heagy of Origami Angel.

Having previously toured together, this reimagined take of the song that originally appeared on 2015’s ‘ No Closer to Heaven’, sees The Wonder Years‘ Dan Campbell and Heagy share vocals. It’s complemented by the Little Kruta String Ensemble, who add sweeping strings to the acoustic-led number. Although it maintains ‘Burst and Decay’s stripped-back nature, the punchy, preserving tone of the original remains intact.

It’s the second track to be released from the upcoming collection. Last month, The Wonder Years shared an original new song called ‘Junebug’.

‘Burst and Decay Vol. III’ is released on May 9th via Hopeless Records.
