Next month Aussie rockers Hands Like Houses are set to make their return to the UK. Having released their new album, ‘Dissonants,’ this past February, Hands Like Houses carry an abundance of characteristics that are certain to win over crowds in the coming weeks. The aforementioned ‘Dissonants’ carries itself with anthemic hooks and bold instrumentation alongside expansive and atmospheric elements.

Having toured all corners of the world, Hands Like Houses have spent dozens of hours on the road stuck on a bus passing time some way or another. One of those ways is listening to music, so we asked guitarist Alex Pearson to compile a list of 10 songs Hands Like Houses have been rocking out to in-between shows.

X Ambassadors – Unsteady

Alex: Such a silky smooth voice with a really emotive groove to it, and I love the crackle almost like fire in the verse.

Nothing But Thieves – Trip Switch

Alex: Funky verse that kick in to an insanely catchy chorus, what’s not to like!

The Struts – Kiss This

Alex: This song is to infectious not to love, badass and poppy at the same time!

Nothing More – This is The Time (Ballast)

Alex: Filled full of heavy riffs that empty out in to a massive chorus, this song gets me so amped whatever I’m doing.

The White Noise – Picture Day

Alex: We’re on tour with these guys at the moment and this song is consistently stuck in my head, keep your eyes on this sweet punk rock band!

Sticky Fingers – Land of Pleasure

Alex: Put this song on and immediately you’re transported to summer drinking cocktails on the beach – definitely a good way to kick start your day!

PVRIS – You and I

Alex: These guys and gal are awesome and this song sees them pushing even further into the pop world where they’re going to start really making a name for themselves.

Young Monks – Old Faithful

Alex: These guys are friends of ours from back home in Australia. They’re super vibey and the music video always cracks me up!

A Day To Remember – Paranoia

Alex: This song reminds me of cranking Millencolin when I was 15, just on steroids. Turn it up load and rock out in your car!

I The Mighty – Slow Dancing Forever

Alex: We will be touring with these guys in the UK soon and this song is perfectly dreamy. It always moves me and reminds me of when I listened to way too much Postal Service.
