This week, emerging rockers Witterquick head out on a short run of headline shows. It follows the release of their latest single, ‘Bubblegum’, a radiant, feel-good slice of summery pop-rock. Since forming in Exeter in late 2014, the quintet have produced a wealth of anthemic numbers with two EP’s, ‘Beneath The Spinning Lights’ and last year’s ‘Fire and Ice’, providing evidence of that.
As they prepared for a brief tour throughout England, we wanted to know what will be Witterquick‘s soundtrack as they travel up and down.
Mallory Knox – Black Holes
We’ve loved Mallory Knox from the start and we were nervous when we found out Mikey left. We heard the new direction with ‘Black Holes’ and we were in love all over again! Looking forward to sharing the stage with them at Burn It Down Festival.
All Ears Avow – Sick
We heard this track recently and we’ve not been able to stop, there’s some real promise to these guys. We hope we can hook up with them soon!
Grumble Bee – Heron
Jack Bennett’s is an incredible songwriter and we love everything he puts out. ‘Heron’ especially sticks out because of the infectious chorus and lyrics.
Black Foxxes – Husk
They’re local legends to us. We’ve seen them lots live and this track is always our highlight. The guitar tone is on point and gets us rocking our air guitars.
Veridian – One Day
The chorus in this track gets our lungs pumping and we can’t help but sing along.
Deaf Havana – Sinner
As soon as this track comes we feel the summer vibes and can’t help but get our groove on. Their new direction has a huge thumbs up from us!
Dream State – White Lies
When you hear that guitar tapping fading in you know you’re in for a treat! In the van, we can’t help but drum on anything we find. Such a great rock anthem!
Shvpes – Undertones
This is a killer headbanger! Every time we hear it we just imagine them on a stadium stage with pyro blasting everywhere. We’re looking forward to playing with these guys in September!
Nothing But Thieves – Particles
This song is another level for the Thieves guys. We’ve been friends from the start and seeing them reach new heights with songs like this is incredible. Can’t wait to see where they go next!
