After weeks of teasers and speculation, the new unknown band called PRESIDENT has revealed their debut single. ‘In The Name Of The Father’ bursts with heavy guitars and penetrative drums before an unidentified (but familiar) voice delivers raw, cathartic lines about existential fear and the inevitability of death.
Alongside the track and its video, the anonymous band shared the following statement:
“Something has been stirring. A growing noise, a ripple through the republic of the underground.
We called. You listened.
Your curiosity, your questions, your conversation… We have witnessed it all.
Here, we make our first proclamation.
“In The Name Of The Father”
This is the first crack in the surface.
This is your PRESIDENT. We’ll be seeing you soon.

PRESIDENT‘s name first appeared in February when the Download Festival announced 22 new bands this year’s festival. Their Friday afternoon set on the Dogtooth stage will be their live debut.
With the intent of prioritising image and musical context over the personnel involved, it seems the mystery of PRESIDENT is only just starting to unravel itself.
