Brighton-based DIY emo group prom has confirmed they will be releasing their debut album, ‘From The Wayside’, on November 8th via Sugar-Free Records.
To mark the news, the trio have shared a video for the title track. The track highlights prom‘s brand of ’90s alt-rock washed with a gritty grunge skin and lyrically emotional core.
Since their first release in 2023, prom started the year by releasing their debut EP, ‘This House Is All I’ve Got’, and followed it up with a split EP alongside fellow Brightonites Wimp. Ahead of announcing ‘From The Wayside’, prom shared a track called ‘Private Room’, which will also appear on the album.
In a live capacity, they’ve supported names such as The World Is A Beautiful Place and Free Throw, and have appeared at the Washed Out Festival and the Homegrown Festival in Brighton.
