With the temperature dropping, winter is definitely here. Nevertheless, as the finishing touches of end of year lists get pieced together, December kicks off with a handful of late contenders.

For starters, ‘Material Control’, the long-awaited third album from New York post-hardcore band Glassjaw arrives 15 years on since the influential ‘Worship and Tribute’.

Elsewhere, Las Vegas alt metal bruisers Five Finger Death Punch move on from their issues with their label to release ‘A Decade Of Destruction’. The Dear Hunter deliver a new EP in the form of ‘All Is As All Should Be’. Jay McAllister aka Beans On Toast celebrates his birthday with ‘Cushty’.

There are also new releases from Icarus The Owl, Fathoms, Intervals, Safeguard, Lightscape and more.
