Although the end is near for Already Heard, that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop telling you all what is being released every Friday… well until to the end of the month.

Anyway, the first Friday of August is packed with a mix of important albums and some releases that are well worth your time.

For starters, Aussie favourites Northlane return with ‘Alien’. While Volbeat deliver another set of rock n’ roll, metal and rockabilly in the form of ‘Rewind, Replay, Rebound’, and deathcore crew Carnifex look to start ‘World War X’.

Elsewhere, instrumental metallers Russian Circles release ‘Blood Year’, Have Mercy celebrate ‘The Love Life,’ and Slaughter Beach, Dog return with ‘Safe And Also No Fear’.

There are also several noteworthy releases from “lesser-known” bands such as the debut albums from Junior, TheCityIsOurs and Lakes.

In addition to all that, the likes of Underøath, The Rocket Summer, Havelocke, The Offering, Reclaimer, Tennis System and concrete concrete all have new releases.
