Oxford alt rock/shoegaze outfit Ride have confirmed their reunion as a band.
The band formed in 1988, releasing four albums including ‘Nowhere’ in 1990, ‘Going Blank Again’ in 1992, ‘Carnival of Light’ in 1995, and 1996’s ‘Tarantula’. They split in 1996, but reformed briefly in 2001 for a Channel 4 documentary and ‘Best Of’ record.
If that wasn’t enough, the quartet will also be playing a few UK shows next year in 2015. There are currently no plans for a new album, but guitarist Andy Bell hasn’t ruled it out as a possibility.
