Song of the Day: happydaze – ‘Left Off’

happydaze 2024

We first met Scottish outfit happydaze last year. Their ‘Full Free Radical’ saw the quartet put a modern twist on the pop-punk genre, injecting it with slick electronic and trap beat. However new single, ‘Left Off’, sees them straight up delivering an infectious slice of pop-punk.

Punctuated with an anthemic sing-along chorus, ‘Left Off’ is executed with thorough urgency, allowing happydaze‘s pop-punk credentials to take centre stage. Beyond its punchy exterior, the track has an emotional core. It’s about wanting to be enough for the people you love and care about, hoping that you can be enough in a world that’s getting harder to live in day by day.

The past 12 months have seen happydaze mix it up with some of the genre’s finest names, sharing stages with the likes of Neck Deep, Boston Manor, and at present, Trophy Eyes. “We couldn’t be more stoked to share ‘Left Off’ with the world. This song is incredibly special to us, and we can’t wait for our fans to hear it,” states happydaze lead vocalist Luke Bovill. “We’re sure ‘Left Off’ will fill that missing piece of pop punk goodness they didn’t know they needed.”

As previously mentioned, happydaze is currently in the middle of UK tour supporting Trophy Eyes alongside Out of Love.
