For fans of Spanish Love Songs, the wait for their new album, ‘No Joy’ is almost over. However, ahead of its August 25th release through Pure Noise, the quintet have shared ‘Marvel’, the final track to be shared before the album’s release

The track captures Spanish Love Songs‘ gloomy-yet-optimistic lyrics and counters it with an Americana-esque rock sound.

“’Marvel’ is the backbone of the album thematically,” says vocalist and guitarist Dylan Slocum. “It was written for a friend, and the chorus was a throwaway joke that has just sort of stuck. It’s probably the most positive song I’ve ever written, and a response to every complaint I’ve ever lodged in other songs. Find the things you need to stay afloat. Piss off the cosmic forces that would see you perish. Find what you need. Stay alive.”

‘Marvel’ is the fourth and final song to be lifted from ‘No Joy’ ahead of its August 25th release. It follows previous singles ‘Pendulum’‘Clean-Up Crew’ and ‘Haunted’.

Spanish Love Songs will be back in the UK later this year, supporting Hot Mulligan on the following dates.
